A. An alleyoop in basketball is an offensive play in which one player throws the ball near the basket to a teammate who jumps, catches the ball in mid air and immediately scores a basket, usually with a slam dunk. The alleyoop combines elements of teamwork, pinpoint passing, and timing. In other words, it’s exactly what we do.
Q. Who are you, and what do you do?
A. We save our members time and money by completing the daily tasks that drag them down. From researching and reference-checking childcare providers and house cleaners to helping plan a well-deserved vacation, we’re there when you need us most. We also run errands like personal shopping, attending car-servicing appointments and even visiting your furry friends when you’re out of town.
Q. What’s this going to cost me?
A. Absolutely nothing! Alleyoop! services are paid for by our corporate clients and offered to eligible employees. In some cases, Alleyoop! services are considered a taxable benefit, and a nominal amount will be charged to you at tax time based on your individual tax rate. Check with your Human Resources department for more information.
For purchases we make on your behalf, we try to arrange a pre-payment for you over the phone with your credit card, but we also accept cash on delivery or email bank transfers.
Q. How do I join?
A. At the moment, we are only available to eligible employees of our corporate clients. If you love the idea of having a personal lifestyle consultant, why not send your HR department a link to our site?
Q. Are Alleyoop! lifestyle consultants bonded and insured?
A. Absolutely! You can relax knowing that your personal items and information are safe with us.
Q. Can I share my Alleyoop! membership with a friend?
A. Sadly, no. The requests made in your account must be placed for you and your family’s use only. That said, you’re welcome to share your login information with your spouse so that they can place requests on your behalf!
Q. How do I verify that I’m a member?
A. When your employer becomes a client, Alleyoop! will assign every eligible employee a unique user name and password. Members can log in to place requests anytime at www.alleyoop.ca/member-login, or place requests via email (requests@alleyoop.ca) or by calling our toll-free service line at 1-866-748-6148.
Q. Do Alleyoop! lifestyle consultants accept tips?

Q. When are you open (and when can I place requests)?
A. You can place requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week via login, email or telephone. Our general operating house are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. If you place a non-urgent request after hours, we will respond to you on the next business day. If it’s urgent, we will try to respond within one hour.
Q. Do you have a privacy policy?
A. Of course! We ensure that any personal information our members provide stays in the vault. In other words, we do not rent, sell, lend or otherwise reveal any of our members’ personal or request details unless it’s necessary for the completion of a request – and even then, only with the member’s express permission.
Q. Who will my lifestyle consultant be?
A. Alleyoop! lifestyle consultants are creative, motivated individuals who love helping others and being part of a dynamic team. We try to remain consistent when assigning requests so that you deal with only one lifestyle consultant for the majority of your requests, but you’re welcome to request a particular consultant if someone clicks with you.
